1. Dear Low Hanging Systems, Inc./ Gearbubble,

   Thank you for trying to answer my questions.

   I’m afraid that your answers are still quite confusing as they sound contradictory.

   For all the reasons listed below, and more, I am cancelling any participation in your program and requesting a full refund of my initial deposit of 497.00.

   The confusion began here:

   Gearbubble – the drop shipper and presumed partner in Low Hanging Systems, Inc

   Seller- Myself or any other party that decides to commit to this program of selling online products via a drop shipper, using their software, pricing, proformas and methodology.

   During the last webinar with Rachel, she gave the following examples.

   Much of her math was off by a considerable amount, as well as in her Pro-forma examples- making one wonder if the stats stated were even true, as we have no way to verify- eroding confidence very quickly.

   This is the example you quoted in the last night’s webinar- which are not even close to tying to your promo Pro-forma formula:

   Your example: Your new example claims that a mug sells for 16.00 plus 5.00 shipping = 21.00

   In this example, is that the seller’s list price?

   Are the numbers listed below your example, the sellers cost?

   Do you now add the Amazon and Etsy fee, as well as Gearbubble’s handling fee (which did not appear to be mentioned in the original proforma cost structure).

   So it appears that we don’t really know what the actual cost structure is, or the total cost of the mug- out the door- therefore, I don’t believe that there is any way to accurately estimate the net profit, as you have attempted to do several times, with wildly varying answers.

   Your proforma demo showed a dashboard that you allegedly provide to the sellers. You stated that the Seller can see their sales daily, and that the Seller payments will be posted to their bank account monthly.

   That the Seller had nothing to do but post catchy sayings for the product. That the rest is handled by Low Hanging Systems, Inc.

   How often is the Seller paid by Amazon and Etsy? Is it monthly? Is it paid directly through the Seller or through Low Hanging Systems. I received 2 answers from 2 different forums.

   From what I can glean I directly, is that it appears that most of the financial responsibility and expense is with the Sellers and that most the control and profit is with Gearbubble and Low Hanging Systems.

   Another big red, undisclosed flag appeared when I continued to question the system.

   It appears that Gearbubble, et al, charges the seller’s credit card the moment the sale happens, which sort of slipped out from an email request I had made to Low hanging systems, Inc, about getting paid.

   Since the only answer I received about collecting the Seller’s funds from the sales, was one month, I will have to go with that.

   So for instance, if the Seller were to hit a hot streak and sell 1,000 mugs in a few weeks, as Rachel has claimed to do through many examples or here’s and several other Seller’s dashboards – you would immediately charge the Seller’s credit card 13.80 per mug x 1000= Or 13,800.00- possibly and most likely, well before the Seller was even paid.

   This number could conceivably jump to 17,010.00 if all of the costs of production, shipping and handling are included in that automatic charge to the Seller’s credit card, which we now know, after the fact, that the Seller is required to keep in file with your company.

   At what point would the Seller receive the 21,000 gross sales?

   In other words, what is the lag time between paying your companies and the Seller collecting their funds?

   This program was convincingly touted that this system was simple, handled completely by the backend companies, and no upfront inventory purchase required.

   Apparently not true. Reading between the lines, along with the online response, it appears that the Seller is required to have a line or credit or open credit on a credit card, equal to at least the amount of product expected to be moved each month, and possibly enough to carry the shipping, handling fees and associated listing fees.

   So based on the new example given to us by Rachel last night ( below), a 21,000 order might require the Seller to be ready and able to front 17,010.00 to your companies.

   So according to your example last night: the 4.05 and 5.83 estimated profits per cup are considerably lower than the 7.57 that you advertised in the selling demo/ pro forma for this product, which I recorded.

   I was under the impression, from your promo/proforma , that a mug that sold for 19.99 ( which included shipping and all related fees, netted approx 7.56, based on your example, which I took a screen shot.

   This drastically changes the claimed return on investment (approximately 38% ) to the new proforma, a few days later, of approximately 19%, which is 50% of the originally projected amount.

   I am also concerned that as a seller, I would now have unexpected carrying costs that were not disclosed up front.

   The layout purported to be a hands free delivery system that was completed handled by the drop shipper, and the implication was that all upfront costs, payments, printing, packing and delivery were managed by gear bubble. Our only job was to come up with catchy phrases and post as many as possible and watch the money roll in.

   No mention was made of the posting fee per item, of .20 on Etsy. That also is an upfront cost that can dig into any possible returns, or just be a loss if the slogan doesn’t sell. If we post 900 slogans ( per your recommendation ), on that site, that upfront cost alone is 180.00. When is that fee expected to be paid?

   There was no mention of the extra handling fee to gearbubble. Shipping also appeared to be a fixed cost, which now we are hearing isn’t so.

   No mention was made of customer service complaints and who would be responsible for gearbubbles responsibilities.

   I asked the question and was told that the seller must bear all the expenses and damage to their reputation if Gearbubble fails to deliver, deliver on time or delivers a faulty or shoddy product.

   According to many online reviews, gearbubble has been found guilty of all of the above. It would be hard to place confidence in this company.

   Also- the seller would be required to refund the customer. What happens to the shipping, handling and inventory fees already paid to Gearbubble? Is that loss all absorbed by the Seller?

   There doesn’t seem to be any incentive to make certain that the seller’s reputation and purse are not damaged.

   When I asked that specific question, as to building the brand and repeat business, I was told not to worry about that – that there is no repeat business. Sounds like this may be a bit too shady for me.

   I am also concerned, as with all drop shippers, that they control your client base, as they now own all of the addresses, emails, phone numbers and product and shopping patterns of the seller’s entire client base.

   I am not even sure if the seller has access to it, especially if they chose to terminate your contract.

   But it certainly could expand gearbubble’s base of business and the seller’s would have no practical method of monitoring their own base and products to see if Gearbubble, et al, were competing with them with the sellers own client base.

   I am quite concerned that many of these serious financial commitments, policies and procedures were not disclosed during the sales Promo.

   For these and other reasons, I am cancelling any interest that I might I have in this program and am requesting an immediate and full refund of my initial payment, as it doesn’t appear to be the same program and cost structure that was outlined in the original sales promo/proforma, making this venture, in my opinion, financially unsound, and that the product, methodology and results were not as described.

2. This is a very informative article – thank you. Perhaps Product Hunter Limited was in the meantime replaced by Knowledge Source, Collingwood VIC 3066 (!?) Knowledge Seminars Pty Ltd as trustee for The Knowledge Seminars Trust (ABN 38 962 419 078) – I happen to come across this a few days ago.
   Yes, the market is over-saturated with mugs, the idea of LHS and POD per se is not bad when it was first launched, but there is a brief window of opportunity / lifespan: first come, first serve with high income opportunities. The idea that giant platforms (Amazon Ebay Etsy) are limiting the number of accounts selling mugs (huge red flag!) does not surprise me if really true. These platforms became scrupulous and in all honesty, they could not care less. If Rachel’s alledged 120 staff is (quite likely) outsourced, and from many countries around the world (especially Asia) they may lack knowledge and CRM professionalism.

     I think you have called it well in your comments which summarise this ‘opportunity’. Perhaps it was profitable years and years ago when it first commenced, but now with competition, market saturation and restrictions/costs from the platforms selling the items. Yes too many red flags here.

3. Wow, excellent and very thorough article.
   At least for me, it comes down to spending upwards of $4,000 for selling a product that only costs a few, in a very saturated market. The additional time and effort I would need to put in, let alone any extra money to recoup my initial investment just doesn’t make any sense.

   I always appreciate learning the back story of individuals, unfortunately, many of these “copy my path” systems just don’t work for other individuals.

     Yes I agree, you have pointed out the stark reality, this Low Hanging Income System (after price hikes) can potentially cost you $4000 just to compete in an overly saturated market trying to make only a small profit on each mug. You would be in a big loss from the start, just trying to recoup your initial investment – I love your summary – The additional time and effort I would need to put in, let alone any extra money to recoup my initial investment just doesn’t make any sense.
     That sums it up nicely!

4. $4000 to make $5.00 on each mug. In my calculation, you have to really sell a lot of mugs to just get your money back…… and in a overly saturated market, it just doesn’t seem like a good opportunity from any angle.

   Haha, I like your four points under…… “I Might Consider Buying Low Hanging System if…” Basically if you have money to throw away and want to deal with people who are not interested in communicating with you when you have problems!

   I think you made the right suggestions, to stay away from paying a huge price for something you can get a lot cheaper elsewhere. $4,000 can actually buy a existing online business that is already making money.

     Yes I agree, you have pointed out the start reality, this Low Hanging Income System (after jacking the price of the course up substantially) can potentially cost you $4000 just to compete in an overly saturated market trying to make approximately $5.00 on each mug.

     There are far better options and ways to make money online from home.

Rachel Rofe´s background story is inspiring, and she has made a great success of herself, but I would never pay $4000 dollars to sell mugs … I’m sure that ths program teaches a lot more than that, but in the end that’s what it seems to come down to, and – as you stated – it looks like a total rip off. If the price was first $300, then $2000, and now $4000 dollars … that’s more than an 80% increase of the price!
   Perhaps this started out with good intentions, but now it just looks like a rip off to me.

     Yes I first heard about Rachel Rofe when my wife had seen the attractive advertising of Rachel and her pleasant nature, enticing “overcoming struggle” story etc appealed to her. So my wife seemed to think this Low Hanging Income System was a real opportunity or something.

     So I said, hold on, please let me do a deep dive look into Rachel Rofe let me do a Low Hanging Income System review first. On doing a lot of research, I tell you what once we started looking into this deeply, the concerns really came out.

     As you’ve pointed out and from the screenshots those price hikes are staggering $300 -> $2,000 -> $4,000 for Low Hanging Income System are staggering, they seem like just profiteering from the students.

     So the course price rises exponentially all while competition amongst students and opportunities available to them are declining. When we learned about the Facebook group with over 7,000 members and many coming to the stark realisation and harsh reality that the whole system doesn’t work. I mean the reality is – 7,000+ students trying to sell $19.95 mugs (overpriced) and increasing competition for such a standard product. Also getting kicked out of eBay and Amazo…leaving only the highly priced Etsy marketplace. So the business model seems flawed.

     Then the red flags alarmed us – people wanting refunds, unable to get their refunds. Seeing the course is now offered under a corporation – meaning that Rachel Rofe and others are personally protected and a company must be pursued. These companies can easily be dissolved and the people behind them walk away scott free.

     That’s why we do comprehensive reviews including this Low Hanging Income System review to help people make a fully informed decision that is best for them.

     So I would much rather build a real online business that helps people than this over-priced and low quality course. 6. Seems incredible that Rachel Rofe is charging such a high price for her Low Hanging System. Print on demand isn’t complicated, and you can create designs for free using Printly. The fact is though it’s highly competitive. Personally, I prefer affiliate marketing as it’s easier to create a passive income. The only positive thing is Rachel Rofe is a real person with a credible background.

7. Wow. This product is super expensive and based on your review, totally not worth it. I’m sure it doesn’t tell you when you sign up that this program is best for those who already have a print-on-demand business and those who already have the tools and people with skills needed to run the print business. It certainly wouldn’t be good for a newbie. Too much of a learning curve. I’m glad you offer Wealthy Affiliate as an alternative. Wealthy Affiliate is a take you by the hand program where you have access to 1,000s of people available to help you 24/7. So I’m glad you included it in your review.
