Keyword:

This is a list showing your keyword at the top along with related keywords. When you point to the “?” next to each column’s heading you can see the meaning of each column. In this case, hover over the “?” and you’ll see that “keyword” is defined by Jaaxy as “a phrase that users type into search engines to find what they are looking for”.

• Power tip: Click on the heading at the top of any column and sort your results from low to high or high to low.

In this example you can see your keyword “ways to make money blogging” is at the top followed by several related keywords: “best ways to make money blogging”, “what is the best way to make money blogging”, etc. Based on all the other data Jaaxy provides, you can then determine which is the best keyword for you.

Let me run through the columns quickly:

1. Avg – Avg stands for “Average”. That column will show you the average number of searches that particular keyword receives per month.
2. Traffic – Number of monthly visits you can expect to your website if you achieve first page ranking in the search engines for that particular keyword.
3. QSR – Stands for “Quoted Search Results”. It simply means the number of competing websites ranked in Google for this exact keyword.
4. KQI – Stands for “Keyword Quality Indicator”. It’s just an easy-to-understand way to tell you whether that particular keyword is a good keyword to target. Simple grading system of “Great”, “Normal”, and “Poor”, quickly tells you whether keywords are a good choice or not.
5. SEO – This column will show you a score based on the traffic and competition of the keyword. The higher the score, the better the keyword is to target.

Quite easy to understand, right?

• Power tip: The first step I take when using Jaaxy search results is to sort the Avg columns from high to low. I then start looking at all the keywords showing as “Great”. As I look down my list, I select keywords I like and save these to a list. Saving to a list allows me to gather the best keywords all in one place to choose from later.
• Beginners tip: The lower the competition, the better chance you have for ranking. Especially in the early stages of your website, even if the data shows the keywords you’re choosing get low traffic, if they have low competition and you’re ranking highly for them, all this traffic will soon add up over multiple posts and will gradually boost your site.

By the way there is also a “Domain” column which will show you whether a domain name (.com, .net, .org) is available for that particular keyword. This is great when using keywords for niche research. Imagine the potential traffic a website can get when you know the domain name itself is a very popular search!

In the example above all those domains are available, seeing “Find More” means those domain names are already taken.

Benefit 2: Alphabet Soup For More Keyword Ideas

If you can’t come up with keyword ideas, don’t worry Jaaxy has you covered!

This alphabet soup feature is very powerful:

Jaaxy’s “alphabet soup” feature finds all kinds of variations to your keyword/topic, giving you the entire alphabet to find them. All you need to do is enter one keyword/topic and then drag the slider which represents the alphabet from A to Z.

Jaaxy gives you keyword suggestions based on the alphabet letter you choose. Awesome idea generator, right?

For example, I typed in the keyword “ways to make money blogging” in the screenshot and my slider is set at alphabet “A”.

Jaaxy has given me keyword suggestions like “is affiliate marketing the best way to make money blogging” and “are there ways to make money blogging about my hobby”, etc. These are ideas and keywords that I probably wouldn’t have thought of myself,

• Power tip: Spend some time using alphabet soup. This is a great way to find a goldmine of related keywords. Save them to lists by clicking the “Add” under “Brainstorm” tab to check them out for your current post or future articles.

Benefit 3: Save Keywords To a List For Easy Analysis

When you come across good keywords or you want to do some easy comparisons, you can use the “Save to List” feature to leverage the keyword list manager.

It’s very convenient to have some organization when it comes to collecting and researching great keywords. You simply add all the relevant keywords under the same “Saved List” and analyze them together.

This is also useful as you use Jaaxy over time, you’ll come across keywords that have amazing stats that you’d like to use in future.

Benefit 4: Search Analysis to See Your Competition

If you are in business, it’s important to see what the competition is doing. You can know WHO is ranking for your desired keywords, and what they are ranking with. Search Analysis show you the current top ranking posts for that keyword in Google, Bing and Yahoo. You can see the top ranked sites for that keyword and then click on “Details” to get their stats as well.

For example you can see their meta description, word count, links on site, back links, Alexa rank and if they are running Google Adsense.

So for example, if you see the top 8-10 positions for your keyword idea are held by big authority sites, and you’re seeing that these posts contain 4,000+ words and belong to website with tons of back links, this should tell you to change your decision to choose that keyword. It would be very tough for a post from a new site to rank above these authority sites.

However, if you see just a few authority sites in the top 10, with other sites in the ranking showing word counts of around 1,000 and fewer signs of authority, this means you can publish quality content with a higher word count and rank above them! Say if the first search result only had 1,000 or so words. Imagine putting together a great, quality post (2,000 words or more) going into great detail and most importantly… Answering the searchers question and satisfying the searchers intent.

Your site can eventually rank number 1 because you are the best and most relevant option out there. You solve the searchers intent…making Google look good and you rank higher!

• Power tip: This shows you what your competition is using to rank, and also shows you what’s NOT ranking, which creates extra opportunities for you. For example, if there are no YouTube videos in the search results, you can make one. It should be easy to rank.

Benefit 5: Easily Find Affiliate Programs

Looking for lucrative affiliate opportunities? This feature is very helpful for affiliate marketers and is another reason why Jaaxy is your all in one tool to centralize your keyword research. Since I’m interested in helping our little girl learn, let’s use the keyword “best learning device for toddlers” as an example.

As you can see from the screenshot, the two I highlighted with red are the better keywords to target because they meet the 3 requirements.

“Best learning tablet for toddlers”:

• Avg: 96
• QSR: 31
• This keyword makes sense, and is more the topic I’m seeking

Does that seems like a good keyword to target?

If you’re passionate about toddler development, you can use this data and create relevant content to reach your target audience and answer the searchers intent.

Ideally, we want the keyword to have more searches and less competition.
