I have heard thou that other members have tried advertising webtalk on Facebook and have been removed! Although I see webtalk does have a Facebook page.
May I offer this advice for those wanting to invite others, they write a review/Advert explaining what they are promoting, and instead of ending it with a link they ask readers if interested “message” them for a link… this works a lot better and you get to keep your Facebook account!!

Prior to this, I had no idea that there’s such a company / brand that exists in the market.
This is definitely a “hybrid” version of affiliate program, the one that combines mlm system into it. I’m not offended by this kind of compensation plan.
But I’m quite doubtful about whether this company could actually make it in the long run, given the features and limitations it has to offer. Not to forget the tough competition it has to offer.
However I do believe the program is suitable for seasoned affiliate marketers who’s looking to increase another income stream for a quick “dollar”.

Sure it is a competitive landscape, but the user experience so far is very good.
This service is free, the only people paying anything are the business owners in need of CRX and other tools for business. The core is 100% free to use with no real limitations. It has the chance to be well over 100 million members within 3 years. Facebook will have its users who don’t want to start a new profile on another network and Twitter and LinkedIn will occupy their spaces but over 130 million from Google Plus will be looking to fill a void because Google is shuttering the service in the near future as announced on their blog in October 2018.
Honestly, they have the tools they just need to get them rolled out and into beta testing. The degree off success will hang largely on the planned marketplace. Right now things are a bit clunky which is the case with all companies still testing their product. As affiliates we think in terms of prelaunch where everything is ready we just have an opportunity to pre-build teams before the launch. A Beta test works a bit differently, not all is built or online. It is all subject to testing and while people can bring in other testers everyone should know there is no money to be made until the tested product becomes open to the public as a fully launched website.
No date has been set yet but there is a massive opportunity there as well.

I have joined Webtalk during their invitation period, but l doesn’t really have the time to investigate its features and benefits until l read your article. It gives me a clear idea how Webtalk is operating, and its merits and demerits. As at now they have 1.3 million members (initially they limited to 1 million members only by invitation), does we still need to invite others to join the program or they have opened for everybody.
Do you have any idea when they will launch the program, as l hear they have spent millions into developing this project?

Yes they are still to launch the program officially and you can still invite others to join in the pre-launch phase.
When is the launch? My best guess would be June area for a full launch as they still need to get CRM, Marketplace, and CRX online and vetted. Once all of those facilities are in place I can’t expect it taking more than 60 days to finalize and announce a Launch Date.

John, just curious, in your opinion do you think Webtalk ever has the ability to get as big as Facebook or Linkedin? Will people actually choose a paid service vs. a free one if that free one is always available and has the bigger name/market share. Interested in your thoughts on this topic. Thanks.

This service is free, the only people paying anything are the business owners in need of CRX and other tools for business. The core is 100% free to use with no real limitations. It has the chance to be well over 100 million members within 3 years. Facebook will have its users who don’t want to start a new profile on another network and Twitter and LinkedIn will occupy their spaces but over 130 million from Google Plus will be looking to fill a void because Google is shuttering the service in the near future as announced on their blog last week. No date has been set yet but there is a massive opportunity there as well.

It seems to be an interesting concept. I like the fact you can segregate your audience and post content that are only applicable to them. I’ve joined a similar type of platform many years back,but the problem is everyone is promoting to everyone.

Throughout what you’ve been saying I think I’ve honestly just learned much of what I know about Webtalk. I am intrigued by a social media platform that requires money, yet I can also see how this would force some others to shy away from such a thing, seeing as how most people use other social media for their ease, convenience, and most of all affordability (free). I guess I’m seeing this as more of people eyeing an opportunity at cash than a more convenient route of communication.

It’s a great way to get traffic to your blog too, once you start building your following.
Why not look at the opportunity? One of the things I like about Webtalk is that you can control what goes where. That’s hard to do on Facebook. Personally, The more I am there the more productive my time has been.
I only recently heard of Webtalk and I joined due to a friends recommendation. Now that I’ve joined I don’t really know what to do with it as none of my close friends or contacts are on here. If I post something at the moment none of my friends will see it.
There are things I didn’t know about it that you have pointed out in your article. These things were not pointed out to me on the video either when I joined. I didn’t realise there were different levels that people will probably all need to pay for and that as a “free” beginner I will probably need to upgrade to a paid membership once its out of BETA stage. Thanks for enlightening me on this.
I suppose I will have to weigh this up when the time comes as to wether this will be a good idea or not. If most of the people on here are business owners advertising then its going to be quite alot of business to business marketing don’t you think?
Facebook was really a way to connect with friends first then business come along afterwards. With this I wonder how they are going to get the Friends connection to work if its targeted more towards businesses joining and advertising. As you said in your article. Only time will tell! Regards Mary

Free? Please note that the 50 contacts are Customer Retention Manager function (CRM) contacts, not the number of followers you have so unless you plan to use the CRM function you won’t have to buy an upgrade. So unless you want this functionality, then you can remain free.
I agree, I do expect a lot of business owners doing marketing, but that already happens on LinkedIn and Facebook a lot too. I receive a ton of cold people spam on LinkedIn.

I actually joined webtalk a few weeks ago and haven’t really looked at much since then. I was intrigued by the concept of earning revenue based on being active on the platform. And I thought that it would be really cool to be able o earn commision based on the people that join webtalk from my invite.
I had no idea, however, until I read your article that you had to pay if you want to have more than 50 contacts. And I was unaware of the requirement that one of the people you refer has to have a paid subscription in order for you to earn revenue. That is disappointing to learn, and kind of puts me off of it. The person I originally heard about it from wasn’t forthcoming about that little detail. And I was led to believe that it was completely free.

Hi John. I haven’t heard of Webtalk, but I think the idea of paying for Social media is something most people will resist, especially when all the others are free. I do like the fact that you can separate your friends, so that personal friends don’t have to read your business posts. I have Facebook and LinkedIn, and I like the fact that LinkedIn is just my business contacts. The annoying thing about Facebook is everyone has to be included in your posts. I guess for someone that loves social media, it may be a way of making some money from it. Thanks for that useful review.

Superb review and in-depth analyse on the subject matter(Webtalk) .I think this social network had pretty similar functionality as linked-in.Showcasing and collaboration on skillsets.Just as building profile and creating value and revenue based on community effort.The privilege of having platinum are great but it is kinda pricey as $40 /month.I think this is alternative network could be beneficial to Gen Y & potential Gen Z.I think it would be great if the platform offers collab to institution which is getting nowhere near regarding meeting the industry standards.

Note that it is free, Like anything free it is monetized by advertising, will also be monetized by retail trade but they don’t do information sales, they don’t sublet your content or claim ownership to things like your photos and videos etc.. They maintain better privacy than any network online by putting that in your control showing your content to those who you choose among the people who follow you. I have always had a negative view on MLMs as I’ve had bad experiences with all of my previous ones but Webtalk looks pretty promising especially the part that it’s fairly new. Still, new MLMs have a tendency to tumble and fall after a year or two so I have this feeling that it’s going to be a risky opportunity.
The idea of joining something so that everyone can bombard you is just not right, or did I get that wrong?

You’re right MLM’s get a bad name for bothering friends and family with the business opportunity. So while other MLM’s you bombard people, I agree. This seems different, Yоu gеt paid tо ѕосіаlіzе. So you CAN earn revenue just from telling people Follow Me. I didn’t feel that this was bombarding. If people like the platform then great, if not then no problem.

social media is so important these days for anything, from business to leisure. And Webtalk seems to be another great social media platform to connect with people.
However, I am not so very into social media, although I have Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. Yet I find it so time consuming to be involved in all of them. I know that everybody has to find the time to do so and make clear goals on how to use them. Still, I find it difficult to juggle through all that. I guess, when I will be my own boss, having my own company, I will be able to get my time organized for that too. But for now, it is not an option.
Or how do you deal with it? I assume that you are on multiple social media platforms as well, and I wonder how you get through all of it?
All in all, this platform seems a good one. And as one of the comments already said, if you can pay for it, it might you might encounter with a little more “sifted-through” information on it. Or does that not make a difference?

Thanks for your comments Oscar, in terms of time management for social media, personally I use a timer. We all have limited time and I use it for productivity. I use the Eternity and Forest Apps for this.
Yes one of the greatest features is being able to easily segregate who sees what. Great post, I have Webtalk for a while now, what I can say about my experience is that they want to copy Facebook, it is clear to see that when you go to the feed.
The problem is indeed when you want to see more you need to pay, which is a big con to me, other ones don’t ask money, simply to have more friends.
The pro is that you can earn money, but it is waiting till the Beta is over.
In overall, for making money, it can be a good one, else, don’t start with it.

I’ve never heard of this company but there are certainly way more worthwhile options out there in my opinion. This one doesn’t seem to scratch the surface of what it could be even if it is successful. I just think there are more optimal ways to do things that Webtalk can potentially accomplish and at lower cost, flexibility, etc.

I never knew there was so much money being made through webtalk. I see people getting likes and asking for likes in the social media. I never knew it was because they was making money. Through a referral program which is like affiliate marketing. What is the hardest part about making money on webtalk.

I really like also that compared to Facebook – the user agreement at Facebook states they own exclusive license to the post you place there allowing them to keep and profit from your content long after you decide to leave. Webtalk states you are only giving them limited license and still own rights to your own content. Another one is that the separation tools allow you to post freely to friends and family without having your professional contacts read those same post. That can save embarrassment and in some cases even save your job..

I actually haven’t heard of Webtalk before until now. Maybe I’m out of the loop or living under a rock, I don’t know. It does seem odd to have a social network that you have to pay a monthly fee for. But, at the same time, that will ween out a lot of people who won’t want to pay for it. So you will be left with a high class of social friends who are all either very business oriented or just have money to burn. But since it’s getting a lot of hype, maybe it’s not a bad thing to get on board with now that it’s still free.
