Can You Make Money With MyPoints?

So, here comes the question: What Is MyPoints About? and Can You Make Money with MyPoints?

YES, you can make money with MyPoints!

Can You Make Money With My Points

With MyPoints, you can earn points and exchange it for your preferred gift cards – but you can also redeem it as cash through PayPal and VISA Gift cards.

Is it a lot? Truth be told, no, it’s not. The maximum you can earn is $50 per survey, and that alone is rare to come. At best, each point is worth a cent.

The lowest points you can redeem for is about 700 points and that is only worth $5 for your chosen gift card. If you want to exchange your points for cash, you’ll need over 3,000 points or more. This will be sent to you via PayPal and would only be worth around $25.

At best, you may earn small amounts of points for each survey that you take. For example, if the surveys you take give you 10 points each and you do 10 per day, you get at least $1.00 which can take one to two hours of answering.

In summary you get one dollar per one hour at best, in a week, you can earn up to 70 to 100 points and in one month, you get 280 to 300 points from answering surveys.

This would mean you need one to two months of answering surveys to reach 700 points at max to get a gift card.

Different surveys reward points differently, so you can’t expect the same amount of points all the time.

Though it is not a big amount, it’s still something that you can get. Think of it this way: It’s free money that doesn’t require much time and effort.

How To Make Money With MyPoints?

As I mentioned above, you may redeem your points through the form of gift cards. The amount can be sent to you through PayPal OR you can sell your gift cards for cash for someone who would use it.

Is My Points A Scam

As soon as you sign up, you get a sign up bonus and you can start answering surveys right away. You will immediately begin collecting points and eventually redeem it as a gift card or cash card.

Well, to be completely transparent with you. I am not a MyPoints customer nor am I one of their affiliates. Furthermore, I do not endorse the MyPoints website in any way.

I have spent a good amount of time researching the website, reading testimonials, and studying information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what MyPoints really does. This is because sites just like this have burned me in the past, and I want to keep others from going down the same path I did. Though MyPoints seems like an excellent survey site and rewards program, it still has its negative points and that’s what I’m about to tell you below.

Reasons Why You Should Avoid MyPoints (Disadvantages)

Disadvantages of My Points

Now, it’s time for me to highlight the things that would make me avoid MyPoints! This should serve as your guideline, to let yourself know whether it is worth trying out or not.

  1. Can only reward you as much as $50 and it’s rare to earn higher.
  2. Answering surveys may take between 5 to 20 minutes.
  3. Some surveys may become a little bit repetitive.
  4. It takes time and patience to earn enough points and redeem your reward.
  5. You need to qualify for certain surveys and some surveys have a limit of who can take it.

Due to the fact that some surveys require qualifications, you may find yourself frustrated when you are unable to take some surveys.

What About MyPoints Compared to Other Paid Survey Sites?

What Is My Points About? Is My Points A Scam? Google Trends growth

The world of paid survey sites is competitive. There is a ton of competition in the industry. As you can see the level of interest in MyPoints worldwide is high. MyPoints is up there with Swagbucks as the industry giants.

There are some smaller players in the paid surveys industry who are gaining some ground. As you can see from Google Trends, there is growing worldwide interest in Google Opinion Rewards, but this has declined since a spike in mid 2020. Inbox Dollars is also declining recently

A competitor to watch is Branded Surveys they are only in UK, USA and Canada and still have a long way to go before they can be regarded as a serious player in the industry, but they are growing.

Final Thoughts On MyPoints

What Is MyPoints About? Is MyPoints Worth Your Time? Let’s wrap up this review and determine whether you should try it or not.

What Is My Points About

Yes, MyPoints IS worth your time IF… you have spare time and can do surveys on the side without a problem. In a sense, this is almost like free money when you have nothing else to do.

Say you’re bored at home and have nothing else to do, why not answer surveys? It kills time while helping you earn little by little. While $5 or $25 per survey isn’t much, it’s still something!

It is still guaranteed to reward your efforts in the end.

However, IF you are looking for bigger bucks, then unfortunately, survey sites and rewards program like MyPoints is NOT for you. It’s not worth your time – so why not look for something far more reliable?

Let me give you a different recommendation, a way to make REAL money online, while working from home!

A Better Alternative To Make Money From Home!

Instead of spending hours answering surveys that could only be worth a small amount each month, spend your time more efficiently by learning how to start your own online business.

How? Through Affiliate Marketing!

One of my favorite ways to make money online or from home is through affiliate marketing. What is affiliate marketing? Trust me, it’s way better than answering surveys. So, why affiliate marketing?

  1. You are free to promote anything you want – you can have your own business
  2. You don’t need any inventory of products to sell, you simply promote other people products
  3. All you need is your computer with internet connection – so you have freedom to work from home or work from anywhere
  4. Your efforts are cumulative – as you put in consistent effort your traffic and income grows and you can continue to earn. Unlike survey sites where you only ever earn pocket change
  5. Your earning potential is unlimited, many people make full-time incomes and you can also outsource and scale your online business
  6. Even complete beginners can do it with the right training – here’s what I recommend and I can personally mentor you to help you earn.

My advice is to invest your precious time into building your own real online business to give you income you can rely on longer term, rather than trying to earn pocket change by playing with mobile apps in your spare time.

So If you are looking for a real way to earn a sustainable income at home then this program is for you — plus, it’s free to get started. And if you want to do this full-time, going premium is just $49/month. Also I will personally help you.

In the end, you’ll learn valuable skills and earn more than the time you’d spend on survey sites!

2 thoughts on “What Is MyPoints About? Is MyPoints A Scam? 100% Honest Review”

  1. My Points is one of those sites I’ve tested for online surveys, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out the way I wanted.

The point to card cash conversion was so minimal; I felt my action and time spent weren’t justified as there weren’t many surveys to begin with. I do like their selection of gift cards and if you prefer cash, I think you can sell those gift cards on eBay to make some money. That is if you’re willing to work for those cards.

    • Hi Cathy,
I appreciate you sharing your experiences with My Points with my readers.
I completely understand and I feel the same way. Your time is valuable and my time is valuable too.

I did give it some thought to do these – perhaps the only time I could consider it would be sometimes on the train or idle times waiting for something, If I really had to kill time on the mobile.
But in this My Points review, as I dug deeper the realisation you made next to nothing on My Points put me off.

So when I realised that the points that you could earn were so minimal it really put me off too.  I mean say you do surveys that can earn your 10 points each and you do 10 a day.  To only get around $1 for your efforts that could take you as long as 1-2 hours is like “grand theft” of your time.

You have confirmed that we both made the correct decision.

I love affiliate marketing, because we are truly building something – our own online business. Your efforts are cumulative, compounded and most importantly you get rewarded for your efforts. Rather than just have your time lost and not getting it back with the low paying of these paid survey sites.
