He convinces you to leave your 9-5 job, but isn’t entirely helpful about what you are supposed to do next. In the end, the question is, what are you supposed to sell? One review I came across is when a student asked “what do we do now?” to which Dan Lok replied something around “Find something to sell.” —wait, what?

Is Dan Lok a Scam
Well, to be completely transparent with you. I am not a student of Dan Lok nor am I one of their affiliates. Furthermore, I do not endorse any of Dan Lok’s business in any way.
I have spent a good amount of time researching the website, reading testimonials, and studying information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what Dan Lok’s courses really do. This is because programs just like this have burned me in the past, and I want to keep others from going down the same path I did. You can learn more here in this article “How to Spot an Online Marketing Scam and Avoid Scams”.
Yes, this program is a legitimate business. There is no scam here.
Take a look at this video about guys like Dan Lok.
Actually, most of the points he gives actually makes sense. However, anything mixed with a bucket-load of lies ends up as misinformation. He purposely misleads you with false promises and possibilities just to make his course seem more effective than it really is. Take a look at this thread on Reddit. One of the people who commented went as far as investigating where Dan Lok filmed his video to show that he’s not as wealthy as he is trying to say.
What I Like About Dan Lok’s Courses
Dan Lok is a very charismatic instructor. Energetic and hyped, Dan Lok is quite the speaker. No wonder people love listening to him. He is sure to get you fired up in every lesson. This is important especially with people who need to pick up some motivation.
Dan teaches practical stuff. Dan’s lessons are actually very practical which are quite useful to learn in life. Especially about how to approach people, how to ace person-to-person interactions, and how to build your confidence to push your agenda. This would come in handy especially if you want to earn big bucks in selling high-ticket products. Of course, this field is for those with nerves of steel and is not for the faint-hearted.
The Ugly Truth: Dan Lok’s Courses
Cult-Feels. We don’t mean to sound so judgemental, but a guy asking you to call them master/teacher/sifu is just too weird. In a lot of cases, people who enrol for Dan Lok are almost coerced and emotionally manipulated in taking more and more classes. Therefore spending more and more without having any results with the skills they should have already acquired.
Lower self. One of the courses might have had too much focus on mentality and how to overcome the lower self. It almost feels like someone is trying to fill the void and emptiness of what most of the course really is. Maybe teach more about specifics. Important stuff such as building a landing page perhaps? How about how to construct a Facebook Ad from the roots? No? Why not get baptized if you’re into spirituality? Eh?
Dan is a bit Daunting. You might find Dan’s enthusiasm a little overwhelming at times. Him shouting profanities all around doesn’t help either.
Is Dan Lok a Scam? —My thoughts
When influencers/gurus make it a point to brag about their wealth, it’s almost as if they’re selling to you an idea of being rich which often overshadows the ‘how’ part which should be more important honestly.
Aside from his success as a copywriter, I’m really on the fence about how Dan Lok got all rich except from selling all these courses people are buying. From what I can see, he got crazy rich because of the people who believed his “rich guy” persona.

Please everyone should be careful and stop being deceived by all these brokers and account managers, they scammed me over $50,000 of my investment capital, they kept on requesting for extra funds before a withdrawal request can be accepted and processed, in the end, I lost all my money. All efforts to reach out to their customer support desk had declined, I found it very hard to move on. God so kind I followed a broadcast that teaches on how scammed victims can recover their fund, I contacted the email provided for consultation, and I got feedback after 48hours and I was asked to provide all legal details concerning my investment, I did exactly what they instructed me to do without delay, to my greatest surprise I was able to recover my money back including my profit which my capital generated. I said I will not hold this to myself but share it to the public so that all scammed victims can get their funds back. I expose this broker as much as I can, so I can help other victims or intending victims out there, kindly contact him and he will guild you on step how to recovery all your funds within 7 working day. Do not trust them! Beware of Scammers!!
Thank so much for reading my honest Dan Lok review and sharing your thoughts here.
You have highlighted some key concerns and sharing your terrible experience about being overcharged.
This helps readers get a fully informed view in deciding if Dan Look and his courses are worth it or not.
Also in terms of making money online or making money from home, personally I would much rather build a real online business that helps people than these expensive and unproven courses. Fact based, proven since 2005 and a lot more quality (Training, tools, mentoring, community & support) and for reasonable pricing. This is why I recommend this over all others. And yes you have read that there is no need for any credit card information to create a free account to see if it suits your style.
My pleasure to help you, John
Thank you very much for writing a thorough review of Dan Lok’s courses. Yes, I also feels his courses are overpriced, as some of them can be easily found with a couple of Google searches. But, it’s nice to hear that he is also very practical, which is valuable. And, more importantly, it seems legit, just very costly. I think I will find another ‘cheaper’ alternative for copywriting, though. Any alternatives that you would like to suggest?
Thanks for your comments, yes Dan Lok’s courses are very expensive. That’s why for people in sales, I suggest that only very serious salespeople consider them due to them being very expensive.
If you want to consider a ‘cheaper’ alternative for copywriting then you could consider a few like
Billy Gene has some Copywriting courses and Ben Settle is well respected in Copywriting (but $101 a month is pretty expensive).
