SocialEarn is a newly created website that claims to pay users for doing surveys, testing apps and referring other people into their website. So far it presents itself as a rewards website and from which users can mainly earn through referrals.
According to WHOis, the website was only created in September 2021
But is it really worth your time and effort? This SocialEarn Review will give you an unbiased investigation of the platform. But just before we go through that let’s first have a look on a quick take on what different schemes a scam may take form. This is a good gauge on how we’ll have our verdict about SocialEarn later in this article.
What is a Pyramid Scheme?
Affiliate options, MLM organizations, and pyramid schemes are the most common types of business that provide incentives for referrals. Let’s have a look at the three main ones, as well as what a Ponzi scheme is and whether or not I think it qualifies as one later in this essay.
An affiliate marketing opportunity gives you access to perks if you’ve persuaded others to buy the company’s items or services as a direct result of your efforts.A multi-level marketing (MLM) is a form of direct sales in which you not only recommend people to buy goods or services but also become their upline and earn commission off the purchases made by those they have recruited.
From my initial assessment, we can look into whether SocialEarn is an affiliate marketing opportunity or a Ponzi scheme. We’re ruling out MLM and pyramid scheme since the platform doesn’t really require financial investment from the users.
A Ponzi scheme is an illegal venture that offers unrealistic gains and high returns with no risk.
When I initially heard of SocialEarn and read about offers I first thought that it was the typical affiliate earning opportunity of a rewards website. But here’s what I found.
Is SocialEarn a Scam, a Pyramid Scheme, Or is it a ponzi?
Well, for us to see if SocialEarn is a an affiliate marketing opportunity or a Ponzi scheme we will have to first look for its registration.
Why? Because all financial enterprises, no matter what currency they deal in, are required to be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Some individuals may try to persuade you that because cryptocurrency is supposed to be a decentralized system, it does not need to be regulated.
What if a corporation decided to rug pull all of its assets? Who will you call if it’s not a legitimate company?
If a firm isn’t registered, and it decides to accept every investment of its members on one day, a company with both a company registration AND a SEC recognition will be held responsible for everything that might have been stolen. Now I hope you realize how crucial a SEC registration is to any trading or investing project that you may undertake.
It’s critical to verify the registration status of a company when you’re considering doing business with them, even if it’s merely gaining from referrals and clicks.
TIP: It isn’t enough for a firm to claim and show you documentation of its registration. It’s up to you to do your own research because most business registration information is public, and most states and countries will have websites where you may check its registration.
Now let’s start.
Most of the time you can learn about which company a website is under through its Terms and Conditions / Use or sometimes under its Privacy Policy too. Well, they do have a Terms of Use page and a Privacy Policy page. And here are some of the important details that we found about them on those pages:
On their Terms page we found out that they claim to be registered in Netherlands:
And surprisingly we found their company registration in Netherlands! However when we translated the last line of the result. We found that the company is already deregistered in the Trade register! (You can try to translate for yourself this last line: Deze hoofdvestiging is uitgeschreven uit het Handelsregister)
Plus, according to the company description… SocialEarn is registered for the website www.soialean.nl which is a social media training website for entrepreneurs…
That sounds very far from how SocialEarn presents itself! Plus if it’s already deregistered then it means that they no longer have active company registration!
Another red flag was their Privacy Policy page because they mention here that they are wholly owned under SE, Inc.
I checked on the company registration website for Netherlands and I didn’t find any SE Inc. We can’t also seem to find any relevant company of the same name on existing US companies. While this is not definitive since the best way to confirm is to know the state they are registered in and check on their actual registration. But still this gives me less confidence in trying out their service since I find it unsafe to give out my personal information plus data of my financial accounts and wallets (details are needed for cash out).
How Does SocialEarn Work?
According to their website, users can earn by completing surveys, testing application and referring other people. So I tried to look around and I’m not sure if this will convince you to COMPLETELY AVOID the platform, but in my personal take, I wouldn’t want to risk it after I’ve seen a couple of actual offers that they have.
Answering Surveys
The problem with a website that isn’t verified to be running under active and registered company is that they can abuse and use the personal information that you will give them since they are in no obligation to any government. When I looked around the platform I found that they are merely an affiliate and they are the survey are actually running under a different website.
And what does this imply? This is quite alarming since even if SocialEarn was running under a registered company, every detail that you divulge on the surveys that are under a different website, are out of the bounds of data security that is cited in their Privacy Policy page.
It’s also very fishy that the question in the survey is like phishing information from you! Imagine if you divulged your real name, age, phone number, email address and birthday…
Testing App
I’m not sure if there are actual applications to be tested but when I checked inside there were no applications available. I really hope that the applications to be tested doesn’t involve personal details too right?
Referrals
Now here’s one of the other red flag that we found… this Anti-Fraud Policy inside the website seems to be completely copy-pasted from Earn and Go.
And Earn and Go has had the reputation of a data harvesting site! Then it’s very likely that SocialEarn is running under the same scheme since they copied the same content from Earn and Go! It also seems like Earn and Go website has already been taken down..
What is SocialEarn really? Is it a scam, or is it a rehash of Earn and Go? Either there is no lesser evil choice between the two.
Can You Really Make Money Through SocialEarn?
Well SocialEarn has their Testimonials page and a Live Payments page but it’s unconvincing because they have a testimonial that was dated August 2021 when in fact their website was created a month after! There were actually two payment proofs dated on the same day, they were addressed to an Ernestine Merille and a Kathy Velasquez.
Plus think of it, if you could actually earn from SocialEarn, is it their compensation for your willingness to give out your personal data?
They also mentioned that they have 10 million affiliates… I don’t believe that you can get 10 million affiliate in less than a year of running your business!
It also seems like earning from the website isn’t verifiable since their Trustpilot profile was flooded with positive reviews which is very unusual:

More people that you can refer, more personal data that they can harvest!

Well, to be completely transparent with you, I am not a user of SocialEarn and I truly don’t recommend it.
I have spent a good amount of time researching the website, reading testimonials, and studying information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what SocialEarn really do. This is because programs just like this have burned me in the past, and I want to keep others from going down the same path I did. You can learn more here in this article “How to Spot an Online Marketing Scam and Avoid Scams”.
I believe that SocialEarn is most likely a data harvesting site like Earn and Go. There isn’t verifiable proof that it is a legitimate rewards and survey website unlike Rakuten Insight which runs under a legitimate company and conducts survey on their actual website rather than redirecting them to affiliate websites that then poses abuse to user’s personal details.

I don’t recommend using the website or even recommending it to others because it poses risk on personal details. Even if they would turn out to be a paying platform, no amount of money should be at par with the privacy of your personal details. Would you rather have short-term gains in exchange of your identity?
Up until there is verifiable proof that they are under a registered and active company and that they operate within the bound of ethical privacy practices is the only time that we may have to reevaluate our stance that SocialEarn is a probable scam, and very likely a data harvesting website.
How I Make a Passive Income Online
There are more profitable passive income opportunities than surveys from fishy websites. You won’t need to worry about a misuse of your personal information or painstakingly answer surveys only to not profit from it for a year.

If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
They have enough red flags to last a lifetime. I would not even be surprised if they do not pay actual members and only rely on doctored testimonials and reviews on their site.
It’s also worrisome how much some sites like this have collected personal information of users like their email address, payment processor details and so on which users have to provide them during registration and cash-out request.
I hope lot of people would get to read reviews like yours before investing their time and energy into something that probably won’t yield any payment. Keep up the good job.

I agree with you, its bad enough that from sites like SocialEarn, all you can potentially make is pocket change.
What is far worse is that use of your data and personal information. This is the reddest of the red flags. But the company mentioned being actually deregistered in Netherlands is a close second in terms of huge red flag warnings to – run!
Seriously Femi and all readers, in terms of making money online or making money from home, personally I would much rather build a real online business that helps people than this highly risky “opportunity” (survey site that has privacy risk to your personal information). Instead why not go for fact based, proven since 2005 and a lot more quality (Training, tools, mentoring, community & support) and for reasonable pricing. This is why I recommend this over all others. And yes you have read that there is no need for any credit card information to create a free account to see if it suits your style.
